BabyJot Privacy Policy

BabyJot is a product of Rested, Inc. ("we", "us"). Last updated: October 5, 2026.

What BabyJot does

BabyJot lets you log your baby's feeds, sleep, diapers and pumping from inside AI assistants such as ChatGPT, and share that log with other caregivers you invite. It is a record you keep for yourself: we are not a healthcare provider, and BabyJot is not a medical record, medical device or source of medical advice.

What we collect

• What you log: times and details of feeds, sleep, diapers and pumping, and any notes you add. This can be health information about your child.
• Settings: your household's time zone and an optional nickname for your baby, and each caregiver's preferred unit (oz or mL).
• Account: an anonymous account identifier from our sign-in provider, when you agreed to this policy, and which shared log (household) you belong to. Your email address and password are held by our sign-in provider, Auth0, not in our database. If you sign in with Google, Google shares your name, email address and profile picture with Auth0; we don't receive anything else from your Google account.
• Invites: codes you create and whether they were used.
• Service logs: our servers record the time and type of each request (for example "log an entry"), never its contents. Our hosting provider also keeps standard request logs, including IP addresses.

We do not collect your name, phone number, precise location or payment information.

How we use it

Only to provide BabyJot: to save and show your log, calculate daily summaries and patterns, share the log with caregivers you invite, and keep the service secure and working. We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, share it with data brokers, or use it to train AI models.

The AI assistant you use

When you use BabyJot inside an assistant like ChatGPT, what you ask and what BabyJot returns becomes part of that conversation and is handled under the assistant provider's privacy policy, such as OpenAI's. BabyJot returns only what your request needs:

• today's summary (time since the last feed, sleep and diaper, running timers and today's totals), your time zone, the baby's nickname if you set one, and your unit;
• entries you log, change or ask about (type, times and details), each with an entry ID the assistant uses only to correct or delete that entry;
• daily totals when you ask about patterns, an invite code when you create one, and a full copy of your data when you ask to export it.

The BabyJot card shown in the conversation also receives your entries from the last three days to draw your log; these are not added to what the assistant reads.

• Auth0 (Okta): sign-in (United States)

Each processes data only on our behalf, under contract.

Sharing with caregivers

If you invite someone, they can see and edit the whole shared log. Anyone in a shared log can leave it by deleting their account.

Your choices and rights

• Consent: nothing is saved until you agree to our privacy notice. You can withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account.
• Export: ask the assistant to "export my BabyJot data".
• Delete: ask the assistant to "delete my BabyJot account". If no one else shares your log, all entries are deleted. To also delete your sign-in account, email babyjot.support@gmail.com.
• Depending on where you live, you may have further rights (access, correction, deletion, portability). Email babyjot.support@gmail.com.

Retention

We keep your log until you delete your account. Deleted data is removed from our database immediately and from backups within 30 days.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Every request is authenticated, and each household's data is kept separate from every other household's.

Children

BabyJot is for parents and caregivers aged 18 and over. It is not directed at children, and children should not use it.

Changes

If we change this policy in a material way, we will ask you to agree again before saving anything new.
